During the spring semester of 2015, the students of Geog 467, inspired by Sidonie Christophe and Charlotte Hoarau’s article  Expressive Map Design Based on Pop Art: Revisit of Semiology of Graphics? , created a series of maps based on famous and unique pop art images.  Using Mapbox Studio, the students began with a plain map of the University Park Campus and altered the color hues to match their chosen images.  Below are just a few examples of some of their work, which can be found on the Pop Carte website.
